Why use Trident nitrogen stabilizer?

How long does the Trident nitrogen stabilizer last?

If you apply Trident nitrogen stabilizer to the soil in the fall, it can remain effective for up to 90 days. To keep track of this, count the days from the date of application until the soil temperature drops below 40 degrees. Then, in the spring, start counting again when the temperature rises above 40 degrees.

For a nitrogen application made in the spring, you can expect the stabilizer to be active for eight weeks.

What is the recommended application rate?

Trident has a flexible application rate of 1.5-2.5 quarts per ton. The earlier the nitrogen is applied to the field, the higher the use rate that should be used due to increased Nitrogen loss potential. If applied pre-plant, the rate recommendation is 2.5 quarts per ton. If applied at pre-emergence the recommendation is 2 quarts per ton. If applied in season (top-dress or side-dress), the recommendation is 1.5 quarts per ton.
