Deb Johnson

Account Manager, eastern Nebraska & southwestern South Dakota

Deb Johnson is Verdesian’s account manager for northeast Nebraska.

Deb grew up on a family grain and livestock farm in Columbus, NE – a farm that is still in operation today. She parlayed that background into positions with leading agriculture companies. She comes to Verdesian after six years with DuPont Crop Protection in Omaha, NE. She originally joined DuPont as a Sales Agronomist functioning in northeast Nebraska, southeast South Dakota and southwest Minnesota. She eventually became a Technical Sales Agronomist for northeast Nebraska where she built a base of nine Pioneer Account Managers and 60 sales representatives. In this capacity, she doubled sales to $13 million. Deb also spent 13 years as a Territory Sales Lead with Syngenta in Yankton, SD, and three years as a Sales Lead Representative with Novozymes Biologicals in Omaha. She also has experience in real estate.

Deb earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and also an MBA. In her free time, she enjoys riding (as a passenger) Harley-Davidsons, swimming, reading, and spending time with friends and family. She and her husband, Kelly, have a large family with whom they enjoy many sports and activities. They both have a love for the state of South Dakota.
