Verdesian Life Sciences U.S., LLC, a leading developer of nutrient management and efficiency technologies, announced today that it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Redox Chemicals, LLC, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.

As alleged in the complaint, Redox has infringed U.S. Patent No. 6,831,040, which is related to the use of the chemical class of compounds known as prolines to improve the properties and performance of plants and algae. The lawsuit seeks permanent injunctive relief, as well as damages, costs and attorneys’ fees.

“Verdesian was founded to develop nutrient management and efficiency technologies that help crop growers maximize their agricultural investments. We will continue to vigorously protect our technologies and intellectual property,” said Kenneth Avery, CEO, in a June 2, 2017 statement.
