“What is an inoculation?” Inoculation is the process of introducing microbes to an organism that produces a change in metabolism or growth. This can improve health, provide nutrition or induce natural resistance to pathogens or disease. The type of inoculation we will discuss involves the introduction of specific bacteria that have symbiotic relationships with legume plants to supply nutrition, in this case, nitrogen.
