As an avid Ole Miss baseball fan, Josh Allen knows a thing or two about winning. The 2022 Rebels won a national title on the diamond, and Allen has added his winning skills and experience at Verdesian Life Sciences as an Account Manager, a role he has held since joining the company in February 2021.
“We have an outstanding team here – from leadership to marketing to customer service and everyone in between,” says Allen, who calls Brandon, MS, home.
Allen came to Verdesian after working in various Account Management roles. His last role prior to coming to Verdesian was as a Sales Manager for the Scotts Miracle Gro Company in Jackson, MS. It was with Scotts where his interest in the larger agricultural picture was nurtured. It was also during that time that Allen began to get more involved with his dad’s family vegetable farm.
“We raise and sell many types of vegetables but our main one is tomatoes. This only intensified my desire to get involved in the ag business and do what I could to help retailers/growers get more out of the ground.”
With Verdesian, Allen’s territory includes Louisiana, Arkansas and his home state of Mississippi. Allen’s wife, Lauren, teacher third grade, and the family stays busy by hunting, fishing – and cheering on Ole Miss.
“I love traveling my territory and talking about Verdesian products with my customers,” says Allen. “We have an amazing product line that is filling the need of growers to get more bushels out of their acres, with more products on the way.”
Sounds like winning to us.
