John Dombrosky is a seasoned business development and commercial leader with over 25 years of experience in biotechnology, agriculture, and data-enabled businesses.

As Vice President of Business Development at Verdesian Life Sciences, John leads the strategic accounts team, drives growth with distribution partners, and advances key initiatives beyond traditional channels.

Throughout his career, John has scaled organizations, executed numerous licensing and M&A transactions, and commercialized innovative platforms in both established markets and emerging technologies.

Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Ohalo Genetics, where he helped shape commercial strategy and the company’s cutting-edge Boosted Breeding™ product pipeline. Previously, as CEO of Oerth Bio, he led the team that derisked PROTACs for agriculture and secured a landmark strategic collaboration with Bayer—one of the largest deals in ag inputs.

Earlier roles include launching the AgTech Accelerator venture development platform and executive leadership positions at Syngenta and Thomson Reuters.

He brings deep expertise in P&L management, global licensing, strategic partnerships, and building high-performing teams.

John’s blend of commercial leadership, strategic discipline, and domain knowledge complements Verdesian’s high-performing commercial organization and supports its growth ambitions.
