CARY, North Carolina – Seth Pratt, Director of Channel Marketing at Verdesian Life Sciences, was one of four deserving individuals recently recognized with the Grand President’s Award from Alpha Gamma Rho, a national fraternity connected with agriculture. The four winners were recognized during the 2022 Leadership Seminars, which were held in February all across the United States.

Chosen by a selection committee, the Grand President’s Award is given to outstanding fraternity alumni, age 40 or younger, who have achieved remarkable success in their professional careers and made great contributions to agriculture and Alpha Gamma Rho. The award demonstrates an honorable acknowledgment of the recipient’s exceptional brotherhood, leadership, professionalism and knowledge of his industry.

Along with Pratt, the other winners were Andy Fordice, Chris Looney, and Todd Steinacher.

“Many of my role models received this award in the past, and it’s an honor to join them,” said Pratt. “I stay involved in Alpha Gamma Rho for one main reason – the academic and professional outcomes of fraternity members are consistently better than those of the whole student body. Therefore, we need a fraternal organization focused on students from agriculture backgrounds, or those interested in agricultural careers. I’m convinced we have stronger communities because of the work Alpha Gamma Rho does.”

Pratt lives on the farm in Idaho with his family. Before joining Verdesian, he was a Senior Business Analyst with The Context Network where he focused primarily on helping agribusiness clients with investment diligence, and product and channel strategy.

Pratt holds degrees in Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Communications & Leadership from the University of Idaho. He completed internships in agricultural consulting with the Noble Research Institute, and in federal farm policy with Combest, Sell, & Associates. Heavily involved in 4-H and FFA, Seth served in FFA officer leadership roles at every level from his local chapter to the national organization.
