CARY, North Carolina – As Verdesian Life Sciences continues to grow in size and breadth of product and technology offerings, so, too, does the company continue to invest in the people and experts in an ever-growing portfolio. The company has added four product managers to its Global Marketing team to further support the growing Verdesian business. These individuals will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Technical teams to develop and activate marketing plans, plan and lead all go-to-market activities for the respective product line including stakeholder-facing marketing tactics across distribution partners, retail partners and growers. The bolstering of this team will also extend the existing Verdesian product lines into new geographies and markets while allowing for continuous evaluation of future portfolio developments to meet grower needs. All four will report to Seth Pratt, Director of Channel Marketing. These four individuals are:

  • Joe Vaillancourt, Product Manager, Biostimulants
  • Josh Griffin, Product Manager, Fertilizer Enhancers
  • Cody Reynolds, Product Manager, Nutrients
  • Josh Abdo, Product Manager, ST&I and Ancillary Businesses

Vaillancourt joins Verdesian after spending the last four seasons as the Product Manager for Adjuvants and then Plant Nutrition at Loveland Products/Nutrien Ag Solutions in Colorado. Prior to Loveland Products, he worked in various marketing roles at Bayer CropScience in Raleigh, NC, for four years and at an agricultural PR firm in Chicago for three years. Originally from the Detroit area, Joe studied at Michigan State University (BA, Journalism) before finding a passion for agriculture at The Ohio State University (MS, Ag Communications).

Griffin comes to Verdesian from WinField United, where he was a Crop Protection District Sales Manager in central Illinois. He also worked for Crop Production Services and United Suppliers. He attended Eastern Illinois University where he graduated with a marketing and communications degree.

Reynolds is moving from a Sales role at Verdesian to Marketing. Reynolds has been a dynamic Account Manager for Verdesian since 2017 and brings that knowledge and experience to this new position.  His previous experience includes positions for Acadian Seaplants Limited in Dartmouth, NS, Canada; Cooperative Producers, Inc., in Giltner, NE; as a Location Manager for two years at Farm & Garden South in Norfolk, NE; and two-plus years in Agronomy Sales with Farmers Pride in Osmond, NE. Reynolds earned an Associate’s degree in Agribusiness from Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE, and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Sciences from the University of Nebraska.

Abdo comes to Verdesian from CIVCO Medical Solutions, where he was a product manager for four years. In that role, he oversaw a portfolio of medical equipment manufactured and sold to hospitals.

Abdo earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management, a certificate in International Business, and a minor in Spanish from the University of Iowa in 2017.

“Being ‘The Nutrient Use Efficiency People’ is the core of Verdesian’s strategy, and the clearest expression of this is the investments we make in talent,” said Pratt. “These four bring focused leadership and marketing skills to each of our product segments. This dedicated resourcing will continue to strengthen Verdesian’s position as a global leader in nutrient use efficiency.”
