Farm and family life are inextricably linked to Dan Crossley. After all, the lifelong Idaho native was raised on the family farm – where he learned the jobs and the value of hard work by his wonderful parents. It was on that farm where Dan learned to milk cows, build and repair fences, haul hay and all the other activities necessary to keep a farm productive – and successful.
“That experience was a great blessing to me and my wife,” says Dan.
It’s no surprise that Dan’s professional life would involve agriculture. He began that journey back in 1982. Eight years later he went to work as an applicator and soon transitioned into a crop advisor role. (He is a Certified Crop Advisor, which he accomplished in 1997.) In 2001, Dan went to work for Simplot Grower Solutions, where he spent 19 years as a crop advisor. He joined Verdesian Life Sciences in September 2020 as an account manager.
“My experience as a crop advisor has been a huge asset for me,” he said. “My role at Verdesian has allowed me to continue the many great relationships I now have and to build new ones in this responsibility.”
Dan and his wife of 39 years have five children and 11 grandchildren – with two more on the way. The Crossley family loves the outdoors, especially spending time in the mountains and just enjoying nature.
