Specialty micronutrients continue to grow in importance and necessity in agriculture. In recognition of this, Verdesian Life Sciences continues to make strategic moves to emphasize this part of its business structure.
Verdesian is pleased to introduce Josh Adams and Marissa Mann as Technical Product Managers. Josh’s territory includes the eastern Cornbelt and eastern Canada, while Marissa will serve a territory of the western Cornbelt and the western United States.
“The additions of Josh and Marissa bolster an already impressive stable of micronutrient experts here at Verdesian,” said Jake Socherman, Vice President of Sales – Specialty Micronutrients. “We are positioned better than ever to provide real-time technical, product and sales assistance to this crucial category for growers and retailers.”
Josh (left) comes to Verdesian from Compass Minerals Plant Nutrition, where he was a Strategic Account Manager for the East region of the United States. Prior to that he worked as a Territory Sales Manager for Compass. His career also includes just less than a decade with Dow AgroSciences, in a variety of roles.
Marissa joins Verdesian after spending the past four years, also with Compass, where she worked as a Strategic Accounts Manager for the West region and as a Nebraska territory manager. Prior to that she worked as a Sales Agronomist with Cargill/Crop Production Services.
The Verdesian micronutrient team also includes Jill Hanson and Brandon Sheridan as Technical Product Managers. Jill handles the central Cornbelt, while Brandon services the southern United States, from Texas to Virginia.
The spoke of the Verdesian micronutrient business is the MicroSync® Granular Micronutrients line. MicroSync products are formulated with Verdesian Polymer Technology to synergize and enhance the availability of both secondary and micronutrients for plant uptake in broad acre and specialty crops.
In addition, Verdesian launched last fall its “MicroMasters” platform, which educates on the importance of micronutrients and the vital part they play in all-season crop success.
“There is no doubt that the investments we are making into specialty micronutrients speak to where we see this category going, not just in the future, but in the near-term,” said Socherman. “And we firmly believe that growers and retail partners will be the ones to benefit the most from this investment in talent and technology.”
