John Ondo

John Ondo’s roots were established in his hometown of Greenville, PA, where he grew up on a small farm focused on corn and soybeans. After high school John joined the Army where he spent four years during which time he was stationed in Germany and finished his tour in Fort Hood, Texas as part of the 4th Infantry Division. After the Army, he attended Penn State and graduated with a degree in turfgrass science and a minor in agronomy.

After college, John took a full-time position with Centerra Coop, formerly known as Western Reserve Farm Coop. He spent 20+ years there with positions ranging from an equipment operator to a field scout to a branch manager. This experience has helped to develop his understanding of agriculture and the ever-changing technologies.  Centerra gave him the freedom to work with specialty crop growers and organic farming as well.
