Account Manager, northern California
Greg came to Verdesian from Suterra USA where he was a Technical Field Manager in California, handling field trials and educational outreach. Prior to that, he spent three and a half years with Trece, Inc., as a Technical Sales Representative – also covering California. Greg also has experience as an Entomologist/Senior Researcher with Eurofins Agrosciences Services.
Greg began his agriculture career at Fresno State where he majored in Plant Science. After graduation, he took a job in the San Luis Valley of Colorado as a pest control advisor working in potatoes and small grains. He returned to FSU for graduate school (he earned a Master’s of Sciences in Agricultural Plant Protection) before signing on with the University of California at the Kearney Agricultural Research Center as a research associate.
Greg is a diehard Bulldog fan – “not a University of Georgia Bulldog, although I have had the distinct honor of guest lecturing for the Entomology Department there,” he explains. His wife, Cheryl, received her master’s degree at UGA and the two of them take great pleasure in hosting football parties every weekend for all of the local UGA alumni throughout the season. Cheryl is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Ergonomist and Social Security Expert Witness and is self-employed. Greg and Cheryl have three children: Rebecca, Kelly and Andrew, who are all starting families of their own in southern California. They also have two cats, Psycho and Cooper.
