Meet the Nutrient Use Efficiency People™: Tammy Klatt

Tammy Klatt has a deep understanding of Iowa agriculture – and it shows.

Before she joined Verdesian Life Sciences as a Technical Sales Representative for the northwest portion of the state, Klatt spent six years working in soil management for Iowa farmers, where she emphasized water quality. This attention to sustainable agriculture was a perfect fit for Verdesian – and vice versa. Klatt has long been a staunch advocate of the 4Rs of nutrient stewardship.

“I truly believe in our mission at Verdesian – to enable a sustainable future for farmers,” she says. “That’s what gets me up every morning. And I’m so excited that I’ve seen farmers across Iowa lead the way in this mission.”

Tammy’s 15 years of agriculture marketing and management means she also has a deep understanding of how best to communicate with America’s growers and retailers. But beyond her knowledge of the marketplace is a sincere love of and passion for Iowa growers.

Tammy and her husband, Larry, call Dows, IA, home. In her spare time, she enjoys home improvement projects, kayaking and fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

“Since becoming a part of the Verdesian family, I truly believe and am passionate about the future of Verdesian and where we are going,” says Tammy. “I have never worked with such a team-oriented group of individuals. We really care about one another and are willing to help in any way that we can. That is what will drive success.”
